How to burn videos to DVD with AVS Video Converter?

AVS Video Converter allows you to convert different video formats and burn them on DVD to watch with your DVD player. The built-in DVD burning engine and support for multiple video formats make AVS Video Converter is perfect for creating DVDs. Just follow the instructions.

Step 1: Download and install AVS Video Converter
Download AVS Video Converter, then launch the file AVSVideoConverter.exe and then follow the installation wizard instructions.

Step 2: Input the videos for burning
Click Browse... button next to the Input File Name field to select a video you would like to convert to DVD. In the opened Windows Explorer window browse for the necessary video file:

Note: when your input is a DVD disc, follow the path: X: \ Video_TS \ Video_TS.IFO where "X" stands for your DVD-ROM or hard drive folder containing the DVD files:   

Step 3: Output settings
Click the To DVD button on the Formats tab of the Main Toolbar. In the list of video disc types (Profile field) select one of the preset profiles.

You can also modify the list of the files to burn. By clicking the (+/-) buttons you can add or remove files from the list. Using the Arrows you can change the sequence of files.

Step 4: Set up output path . Click the Browse... button next to the Output File Name field and select a location for the output video file.

Note: We recommend that before you save the file to a folder on your hard drive.

Step 5: Create a DVD menu
You can create your own style DVD menu so that you could navigate through your disc easily using it. First of all you need to set the chapters of your DVD menu. To do it switch into the editing mode using the Edit button on the AVS Video Converter Main Toolbar. In the opened window click the Chapters central button:

To add markers put the mouse cursor on the Timeline where you want to start the chapter and press the Add situated in the panel of markers .

If you want to delete some chapters select the necessary one clicking it with the mouse. Then use the Remove Chapter button at the Timeline Toolbar or right-click this chapter and select Remove Chapter from the express menu. To delete all chapters use the Remove All button.

After all the chapters are added click the Disc Menu central button to start editing your DVD Menu.

Select one of the Disc Menu Styles by double-clicking it or selecting the Apply Menu Style option from the right-click menu. Switch between the Main Page and the Chapters page in the Preview Area. To assign your own background pictures left-click the Working Areas (if they are available for the selected menu style) at the bottom of the Edit Input File(s) window, select the desired image or video file in the opened window and press the Open button.

In the Settings section of the Edit Input File(s) window you can change the Disc Menu Title, assign your own Background Music or set the Number of chapters on page using the appropriate controls.

After you add all the chapters and when you are satisfied with the result, click the Ok button to close the Edit Input File(s) window and start converting your video.

Step 6: Convert video to DVD
After you have set up all the conversion parameters, hit the Convert Now! button to start conversion.

When process is over the following window will appear, where you should click Burn to Disc...:

Step 7: Burn video to DVD disc

Insert a blank DVD into your computer optical disc drive. Make sure that the disc is compatible with your drive.

You can select the necessary disc drive if you have several, refresh it and mark the Verify disc check-box to make sure the disc is recorded correctly.

Now click the Start Burning! button to begin the recording. Note, that if the disc is not empty you will be offered to erase it. If you do not want to do that, you can eject the disc and use another one instead.

After the burning is over the disc will be ejected automatically. Note, if you checked the Verify disc, the recording will take a little longer depending on the size of the output files as the program will need time to verify them.

Now you can watch your recorded home video DVD on your Home DVD Player!
