In the following guide I would like to share with you how to get your TiVo recordings ready for the Gingerbread Tablet. In order to enjoy TiVo recordings on NOOK Tablet, you got to transfer TiVo to your PC and then convert the TiVo files to Nook Tablet compatible formats.

Make sure you have installed TiVo Desktop Software on your computer, and your TiVo box is connected to your home network. Part Two: Convert TiVo TV shows to Nook Tablet supported video format
Nook Tablet supports a wide range of formats: H.264, MPEG-4, H.263, VP8, mp4, Adobe Flash Player format, 3GP, 3G2 MKV. As you see, the recorded TV shows in TiVo format can not be played on the Nook Tablet. In order to play tivo on the Nook, we have to convert TiVo videos to H.264 MP4 which is compatible with the Nook Tablet.

To be honest, I use Pavtube for coverting TiVo videos for Nook Tablet(I borrowed from my friend). It works very well and I haven’t really had any problems. Conversion speed seems fine and the videos look good on the Nook Tablet. I saw Pavtube mentioned in the TiVo forums as a good way to convert for the Nook Tablet so I decided to try it. It’s much better than TiVo’s converter. TiVo’s converters for mobile devices are terrible and have many problems.
Step 1: Launch this program, and then click “Add” to import all .tivo files.
Step 2: Please choose the output video format like Format > Android > Nook Color(*.mp4) and destination folder to save converted Nook files.
Tips: To convert TiVo videos to Nook Tablet MP4 videos, you need enter the access key before importing the TiVo videos. After launching the program, just click the Help button on the menu bar and choose Options. And then fill in the blank with the access key of your TiVo video when a popup box appears. Click OK button and then you can import your TiVo video to the program for further converting.
In order to get Nook Tablet supported video in a good balance between video quality and file size, just click on “Settings” to set bitrate as 1500 kbps, resolution as 1024×600 and frame rate as 30 fps. Or you just keep the default setting. (Please remember the higher bitrate, the better video quality while the larger file size.)
Step 3: Convert/Transcode TiVo to H.264 MP4 for Nook Tablet by clicking "Convert" button.
Once getting the converted TiVo files from the default output folder, you can quickly copy them on your Nook Tablet by using a USB cable. After that, you can enjoy and play recorded TV shows (*.tivo) Nook Tablet anytime and everywhere as you wish.
